The importance of empowering women farmers with customized agricultural equipment cannot be overstated. Addressing ergonomic and safety concerns with innovative solutions improves their physical well-being and increases productivity. We bridge gender gaps, enhance efficiency, and promote sustainable agriculture by using engineering, automation, and smart technology. Customized tools foster economic empowerment, rural development, and creativity. This initiative not only bridges information gaps but also enables women to make educated decisions. Finally, our objective is to create tools that are compatible with women’s physiology, changing farming into a safer, more efficient, and inclusive sector.

The project is being led by Principal Investigator (PI): Dr. Jianfeng Zhou, Assistant Professor at the University of Missouri.
Co-Principal Investigators (Co-PIs): Karen Funkenbusch and Marcia Shannon, both from the University of Missouri, are also leading various aspects of the project.
Research Student: Felix Michael Oguche, a research student at the University of Missouri, is actively contributing to the research.
